In December 2016, BBDRC was awarded Clubmark accreditation for the third time. Sport England now carry out annual health checks for each club already holding Clubmark status. We are delighted to announce that following our health check in December and the submission of updated documentation, BBDRC has been awarded Clubmark status for a further 12 months.
This is great news, especially for our junior section as it proves that BBDRC promotes high standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management. It shows that we provide the right environment to ensure the welfare of all members and encourages everyone to enjoy their sport and remain involved. Clubmark has evolved over the years and is now the nationally acknowledged cross-sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs.
Robin Ashe adds:
It is really good news for the club and the Junior section that we have passed the Clubmark health check. We all owe Sue a huge thank you for all the work she has done to ensure we meet the required standards, as well as her time in dealing with the renewal process.
