Junior races at Gorleston

Many thanks to Sue Potter who organised the Good Friday Junior Races at Gorleston. It was a great success with over 100 runners aged 8 to 16 from local clubs on a chilly but bright morning. Thanks also to all those Black Dogs who came and helped.

Our juniors  all ran brilliantly, with many going up an age group. Tess Andrews (11)  stormed home to win the U13 girls race, whilst in the U11 boys,  Dexter Limpenny flew home in 2nd place, Joe Allcock 4th, Joshua Woodley (8) in 7th and Calum Morran (8) in 14th.  Harry Allcock (14) ran a fantastic 5k in 17m51s to take 2nd in U17, Holly Bunn and Ellen Lockhart (both 13) also ran excellent times finishing 2nd and 5th respectively. Reuben Andrews and Joseph Smith (both 12) both punching above their weight in U15 boys, finished 3rd and 8th respectively. Eloise Morran was 4th and Chloe Francis 12th in the U11 girls event, and Harry Smith (11) ran very well to finish 6th in the U13 boys.  Congratulations – you are a credit to the club, and we are very proud of you all.  Photo from Jo Andrews:
