Cross Country

The 4th round of the Suffolk Winter League Cross Country took place on 19th February 2017. Here are results that have just been received.

The day started with the under 11’s race which Tess Andrews comfortably won. Not only was she the first girl home but the first child over the finishing line beating the boys in this race too.

In the Junior Race Holly Bunn ran an excellent race finishing as the 3rd girl home that entitled her for a 1st place in her age group for the under 13’s Girls.

Ellen Lockhart ran very well and came 2nd in her age group for under 15’s girls.

Harry Allcock finished 11th in the race to give a place of 7th in his age group in the under 15’s Boys. Ruben Andrews ran well to came 7th in the under 13’s boys age group.

These runners should be very proud of the these results with one race winner plus one first, one second and two sevenths in their individual age groups?  Well done to you all!

The junior success did not finish there on Wednesday 1st March 2017 Alfie Gard, Peter Lowther, Kiah Butcher represented the Sir John Leman High School at the St Felix School Cross Country Competition.

Alfie Gard in the Under 13 boy’s came 1st and his team won the Team Award for his age group.  Kiah Butcher came up with the same result as Alfie for the under 12’s girls race, with a first place and she was part of the team that won the team Award too. Peter Lowther did well in coming 6th in the Under 12’s boys race and the team he was in came second in the under 12’s Team Award.
