Bumper Black Dog Turnout at Wymondham 10K

A bumper turnout of 42 Bungay Black Dog Running Club (BBDRC) members did their town proud at the opening event of the region’s 2017 athletics calendar.

A sea of red shirts sporting the infamous black dog motif featured prominently among the 670 runners taking part in Wymondham Athletic Club’s annual 10k post celebratory workout along the Norfolk market town’s pretty and sometimes hilly lanes.

Surface frost provoked a precautionary 15 minute delay to the 10.30am start to the race which eventually passed without incident in otherwise ideal running conditions.

In 16th place overall, Graham Jenvey was first home among the Black Dog contingent while Simon Cowley also made the top 20.
